The fact that my own colleagues have chosen me as “Physician of the Year in Assisted Reproduction” is an honour and I am very proud of it. I think that when we have to vote for a colleague, what we most consider is the respect that he or she inspires us. That is why I am very happy to be recognised by my own colleagues. The “Physician of the Year” awards are given to 20 Spanish doctors of different specialties in recognition to their career and their dedication to medicine and research. Honestly, I felt very flattered at the ceremony that took place in Madrid, among so many celebrities from the health sector, journalists and politicians.
During 2019 I have been able to celebrate other national and international awards, such as the European Medal for Merit in Work 2019 granted by the European Association of Economy and Competitiveness, or the Dr Gómez Ulla Prize for Health Excellence, awarded by the Institute for Professional Excellence (IEP). Many other recognitions have been given to Institut Marquès as a result of the day-to-day work carried out by all the team. This year we have been awarded for our scientific works at the X Congress of the Association for the Study of Reproductive Biology (ASEBIR); at the National Congress of the Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (SEGO) and also at the Congress of the Societé de Médecine de la Reproduction, in France. In addition to that, various international platforms, such as Corporate Live Wire, ACQ5 or Global Health & Pharma have endorsed the trajectory of Institut Marquès with several awards that highlight our excellence.
So, as I told you in the interview published by La Razón, I greatly celebrate dedicating my life to the “embryonic passion”. With a lot of work, a lot of enthusiasm and surrounding myself with the best professionals, we manage that hundreds of children are born every year in more than 50 countries. Each of them is a miracle, a love story.
